The Artist

Helena Aurelia

Artist Statement

"My work lives at the intersection of feeling and form — where movement meets stillness."

My name is Helena Aurelia. I am an abstract artist and frequency-based creator working with canvas and clay.

Painting is my place of emotion: expressive, layered, instinctive. Clay is my place of grounding: slow, steady, sacred. Both are invitations — ways to listen, process, and reconnect.

Art found me during a time of personal transformation. What began as survival became transformation. In creating, I discovered not just beauty — but meaning, peace, and clarity. I create to share that with others.
Each piece I make carries a frequency of reflection, a call inward. Whether you’re drawn to a canvas or a hand-formed vessel, I hope you feel the intention woven into it — an invitation to slow down, breathe, and return to what matters most.
With warmth,

Helena.

This isn’t just art for walls or shelves. It’s art that meets you where you are — and becomes part of your space, your story, your journey.

Biography

Helena Aurelia is a Toronto-based multidisciplinary artist working in abstract painting and handbuilt ceramics. Guided by intuition, embodiment, and emotional resonance, her work explores the unseen currents of human experience through fluid movement, texture, and form.
Using acrylics on canvas, Helena creates layered, intuitive compositions defined by gesture, atmosphere, and depth. Her ceramic practice offers a grounding counterbalance — slower, tactile, and deeply rooted in presence and process. Across both mediums, her work is infused with energy, reflection, and emotional resonance.
Alongside her artistic practice, Helena has a background in complex software and AI-driven environments, specializing in systems thinking, communication, and human-centered design. That experience continues to inform her work through an ongoing exploration of structure and intuition, technology and humanity, and the balance between performance and presence.
Her work has been exhibited in Toronto and Vancouver, including exhibitions at The Gallery George, Twist Gallery, and the Gardiner Museum through Fusion Clay & Glass. Her ceramic works have also been featured within the Gardiner Shop.
